Location

The school building is located in Spjelkavik about 12 km northeast of the centre of Ålesund. Spjelkavik is one of the suburbs of Ålesund, and our students come from Ålesund and the surrounding areas. Spjelkavik is a central business district.

Ålesund is a 150 year-old picturesque fishing town on the north west coast of Norway. The town is located on 3 islands. The harbour in the inner city is very picturesque, and attracts a lot of tourists. After a fire in 1904 when most of thetown was destroyed, the town centre was rebuilt in stone, and in the style of the period, art nouveau. The town is one of the most important ports for fish exports in Norway, mostly "Bacalhao" (salted and dried cod) and frozen fish products.
